Milky Quartz, also known as snow quartz or white quartz, has a Mohs hardness of 7. The milky white color is created by microscopic fluid inclusions trapped inside the crystal during its formation. These fluid inclusions affect the growth form of the crystal.

It can be used in combination with emerald, spinel, and pearl or shell to balance polarities.
